Shoreditch Airbnb

21 May 2015

Sometime's when you live in a city you often forget or don't realise that there is so much to see and do. Last Sunday was a beautiful sunny day so it was the perfect excuse to explore London. We started the day in Columbia road of course, I've written a post on this flower market before and you guys know how much I love it. We quickly picked up a bunch of peonies that I had been waiting forever for and left as it gets so crowded you can hardly move!

We then made our way to Neal Street which we discovered by walking around and its the cutest little cobbled street leading to a square of cafe's with outdoor seating including the famous pizza place Homeslice! With the sunshine, architecture and the smell of pizza it felt like I was back in Italy again. Another visit to Italy is definitely on the cards. Do you guys recommend anywhere?

I should probably mention that Elmaz and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary on this day and we decided to book an apartment in Shoreditch on Airbnb. We love using Airbnb apartments as little getaways as oppose to hotels. The apartment we booked was the penthouse/rooftop with floor windows overlooking East London. Shoreditch is a trendy and cool part of London with so many food places and bars, I definitely recommend it as an alternative place to stay in than the typical tourist spots.

The apartment was decorated beautifully with unique pieces and paintings made by the owners. The space was more like a studio, one big room converted into a kitchen, living room and bedroom separated with a curtain. The owners were very welcoming and easy to communicate with which always makes the experience better! It was a great location and I definitely wouldn't mind moving there!
