Amsterdam Airbnb

22 March 2016

If you follow me on social media then you'll know that I went to Amsterdam last week for a few days. I've been to Amsterdam twice before and it's one of my favourite cities, the people are so friendly, the food is amazing and every road and canal is so picturesque.

We stayed at this beautiful, modern Airbnb just 25 minutes from Central Station by tram. I've stayed in a hotel and apartment in Amsterdam before but they can be pretty small (especially if you stay closer to central) so I was surprised when I saw how spacious this Airbnb was. The apartment has two double bedrooms, an open plan kitchen/lounge and a large terrace. We pretty much sat out in the terrace most of the time as the weather was beautiful!

The kitchen has a large dining table, huge chalkboard on the wall and even has an amazing built in coffee machine for you coffee lovers! We had a supermarket right underneath the apartment so we stocked up on breakfast bits and snacks of course. The whole place is super clean, minimal and gets plenty of natural light. There is a TV in the living room along with a selection of DVDS to chose from so we watched a bit of Desperate Housewives in the evenings - best show ever!

When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Natalie who was so helpful and even left us a bottle of wine and 3 cute jars of pickles voor bikkels - the mango one was so good! Getting around was so easy, the tram stop is just a 2 minute walk from the apartment and takes you straight to Dam Square and Central. I would 100% recommend staying at this Airbnb if you're planning a trip to Amsterdam anytime soon. It's good value for money (especially if you go in a group of 4) and I would definitely stay there again.

Let me know if you guys have any questions! My Amsterdam city guide blog post will be up this week too!
