I know I say it all the time but I really think that this was one of my favourite places I've ever stayed at. I knew the Riads in Marrakech were beautiful but I had heard some mixed reviews on what they would really be like in real life.

Riad Kasbah consists of two floors that all overlook the courtyard, with the pool in the centre surrounded by sun loungers and garden furniture. There is also a rooftop terrace for those amazing sunset views. It really felt like we were staying in a meditation retreat/spa.

The Riad is tucked away in the backstreets of old town Medina. When we first arrived in Medina we were overwhelmed by the strong petrol fumes and noisy roads that the moment we stepped into our Riad it was like entering an oasis, so serene and peaceful.

As Riad Kabah is hidden in backstreets, you can't get a taxi to drop you right outside so we would walk to the Mosque and get a taxi from there. Otherwise, it was a great location for us to experience old town Medina.

We felt so welcomed and looked after by the lovely staff at Riad Kasbah. Whenever we needed something we were always told: "Of course, this is your home". Nothing was too much effort and they were always happy to help. The Riad also has a cute pet chameleon which would always randomly turn up out of nowhere!

The best thing about staying in a Riad is that it feels like a home. There were around 8-10 rooms and they were all spacious and decorated beautifully. All rooms had high ceilings and traditional Moroccan decor - which I am obsessed with. The pièce de résistance in our room had to be the bathroom - a green and white tiled walk-in shower with gold taps, an antique divider screen and two sinks - I mean the dream.

If you're thinking to visit Marrakech I think you have to experience staying in a riad over a hotel and I'd 100% recommend this one - it's so beautiful and so reasonably priced.
